How often do you come across images that are so brilliant you find yourself wondering whether they’re real? There’s absolutely no doubt about the beauty of the place. The interesting thing here is how Slotte has made the best use of the basic principles of composition to capture this masterpiece.

The roof and the floor of the cave work as a natural frame and keep us focused on the center, where all the beauty lies. Then there’s the river and the converging lines from the distant mountains that all meet in the distance while drawing us into the image. The composition does justice to the beauty of the space.

It’s beautiful how most of the greens have turned yellow, giving a hint of the approaching winter. Also, the way we can see dabs of light on the vegetation adds depth to the image. It’s subtle but makes a world of difference.

Doesn’t this image make you wonder if heaven is someplace on Earth itself?
