New York City
New York’s famous Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks will be especially important in 2026, with the event also marking its 50th anniversary.
Look for skyline views, bridges, waterfront reflections, and fireworks above Manhattan.
Boston
Boston’s celebration combines fireworks with the famous Boston Pops concert along the Charles River.
For photographers, the best images often include the river, skyline, bridges, and crowds enjoying the music before the fireworks begin.
Philadelphia
As the birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia will be one of the most meaningful places to photograph the 250th anniversary.
Historic streets, patriotic crowds, Independence Hall, and citywide events can add strong storytelling elements beyond the fireworks themselves.
Nashville
Nashville is known for one of the country’s largest Fourth of July fireworks displays.
The downtown skyline, Cumberland River, bridges, live music, and colorful reflections make it a strong choice for photographers who want energy and atmosphere.
San Diego
San Diego’s Big Bay Boom offers a very different kind of fireworks photo opportunity.
Multiple launch points around the harbor can create wide panoramic scenes with boats, reflections, city lights, and the Coronado Bridge.
Las Vegas
Las Vegas offers fireworks with a completely different look.
Instead of monuments or historic buildings, you get neon lights, hotel rooftops, the Strip, and dramatic long-exposure cityscapes.
America’s 250th birthday will only happen once.
Whether you travel to a major city or photograph your local celebration, this is a great year to plan ahead, arrive early, and capture a piece of history.
