Portrait Photography Ideas to Try Out at Home

If you have the privilege to go out to beautiful places for photography, it does help with your work. The beautiful landscapes, and locations add to the aesthetics and make the images appear better. But, there can be circumstances when you get restricted (or want to restrict yourself) in terms of location. What can you do in such situations? To help you out, photographer Liam from the 7th Era shares with you 10 portrait photography techniques that you can try out in the comfort of your home:

As Liam demonstrates in the video, there are a lot of things lying around in the house that you can use to create great portraits. It could include shooting in front of a light source like a table lamp, shooting through a glass, shooting by the window and so on. Another great idea is to use the blinds on the windows, or even strainers as gobos. You can use them to create interesting patterns of light and shadows on the subjects face to add mood to your portraits.

Look around your house and think of all the possibilities. And maybe you can give this concept a try by staying home one weekend and photographing your family members or friends. What do you think?
