Scenery Blend Photography

When street artists JR and Liu Bolin teamed up in New York City they had their sights set on an amazing piece of graffiti art. The two had a model stand directly in front of the graffiti while he was painted from head to toe so that he would seamlessly blend into the background for a photograph. It’s unclear how long the project took from start to finish, but you can watch parts of the process for yourself in the short video the Roberts Horowitz Collective made documenting the project:

The finished product is pretty stunning. The attention to detail the artists put forth in their effort makes it easy to miss the painted man at first glance.

If you look closely you can see the subject.

Can you imagine standing still long enough to be painted like that? What a patient model!
