Interesting Photo of the Day: Infrared Long Exposure of an Iconic Icelandic Waterfall

Small yet mighty Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall, which is located near the town of Grundarfjörðu, may be one of West Iceland’s most photographed waterfalls, but few have documented it like Stanley Klasz—as an infrared long exposure:

Infrared photography requires specialized equipment that can detect wavelengths of light that are otherwise invisible to the human eye and even high quality traditional camera sensors. Klasz captured the 29 second long exposure using his infrared Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon 17-40mm f/4L lens set at 22mm, f/11, and ISO 100.
