Interesting Photo of the Day: Winnats Sunrise

It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional photographer or just traveling the world; sunrises are one of the most ideal backdrops for photography. While this magical timeframe may offer the eye beauty and splendor, it doesn’t always translate to our photography. Thankfully, UK based landscape photographer Daniel Casson doesn’t seem to have any difficulties. During a trip to Winnats Pass, he captured this remarkable sunrise:

Winnats Pass is located in the National Trust’s High Peak Estate in Derbyshire and is ironically not a pass at all. The limestone valley surrounded by cliffs was previously an old limestone cave system. Over time, water from nearby streams slowly ate away at the limestone creating the underground cave system. However, the rock underground was eventually worn down until the entire cave system collapsed, leaving the steep-sided valley we can see today.
