Photojournalist Loses $18k Worth Of Gear After Being Pushed Into Fountain

During a recent high school graduation celebration in Croatia, a photojournalist assigned to cover the event lost nearly $18,000 worth of camera equipment after the rowdy bunch of grads shoved the photographer into a water fountain. You can see the entire event take place in the video clip below:

The photographer, Marko Lukunić, says he injured his leg in the fall but is more concerned about the replacement of the Nikon D4, Nikon D3, Nikon 70-200 f/2.8, Nikon 35-70 f/2.8, Nikon 17-35 f/2.8, iPhone5S, and iPad that were destroyed in the incident.

Croatian students traditionally take to the streets to celebrate their graduations and it appears as though this celebration went a little too far (Via Petapixel). Lukunić says he is used to the students throwing flour and powder, or spraying water, but his equipment–or himself–have never been damaged.
