By now, anyone using the internet is has seen some photographs of people stiffly laying across some rather unorthodox objects. The trend, known as planking, spread like fire across countless meme sites and included photos of people planking from all walks of life. Russians are now taking the trend to the next level as they have recently started an alarming new fad called skywalking. Daring individuals are photographing themselves perched on the scariest locations, hundreds of feet in the air:
Russian teens risk their lives for daredevil photos
The 19 year old, Marat Dupri, who makes a habit of sky walking, had friends join him on a recent outing to record him work his way out on a steel beam high enough in the air to make my palms start sweating and my stomach churn just watching it.
With all the concern over individuals injuring themselves while planking, it’s no question that sky walking is going to be met by the public with similar worries.
Now there are many Russian photographers itching to get the birds eye view, another is Vadim Mahorov. Take a deep breath and check out some of these shots:
I like to think of myself as an adventurous and daring person, but I think this may be one photography project I’ll leave to someone else! The images, however, are pretty incredible.

I don’t care about ppl on the pictures, but the pictures are nice.
As i don’t care about ppl on them, they could have taken them with harnesses…
Climbing with harnesses is a good thing to me, because when you know what you are doing, you take minimal risk.
But in those situations, it is just useless risks.
That’s more a kind of self destruction, like tobacco, alcohol,drugs in general…but faster.
They are just as stupid than Jackass, even if they take pictures.
Nonsense risks doesn’t make you stronger, just more stupid…or dead.

Wow! Amazing images. Taking shots like this from amazing heights takes a lot of guts and just a little bit of insanity. I’m constantly getting yelled at for getting too close to the edge of a cliff, hanging over a balcony etc. I don’t think I could do what these kids are doing, though! Makes your heart jump into your throat at the thought.

This is not only in Russia but in North America too. I have seen images just like this from Canada and the US where it goes by another name that I can’t recall just now.
I really hope they bring some ‘spare lifes’ with them everytime they ‘sky-walking’… You know…, “Just in Case”…! Nevertheless, they really are ‘breath-taking’ pictures.

i saw this a few years ago. I’ve hired guys to do his, but never climbed. A little scarier than the Russian teens, though these guys use safety harnesses (mostly)
Dear God in Heaven….these young people must be out of their mind. A strong gust of wind just might sent them to their death. God be with them all….
For myself, I don’t believe in being so risky. Safety measures should be taken if one wants to take images like these. If not, I pray you are being watched by angels. Good luck.

Apparently the excess excitement caused you to put an unnecessary apostrophe in ” Russians”.
I’m not sure why this is alarming… people have always looked for new forms of excitement.
If these people are willing to risk their lives, doing suck mundane crap… then the human gene-pool is probably better off with-out them.
They should go get some useful excitement… like helping the relief worker in war zones, or guarding endangered species from poachers.
