Photographers Capture Rocketeers Through the Windows of a Massive Airliner

What’s the riskiest thing you’ve ever done for a photo? I’m guessing that for most of you, it’s not quite as crazy as what you’re about to see:

After three months of meticulous planning and a fair dose of adrenaline, Jetman Dubai pilots Yves Rossy and Vince Reffet and Emirates A380 embarked on a breathtaking formation flight high above Dubai. Rossy and Reffet donned the smallest jet-propelled wings in existence and flew in dangerously close proximity to the largest passenger aircraft on Earth.

To add even further complication to the maneuvers, many photographers and videographers were on board other aircraft to fully document the event.

Lucky for us, the daredevils were equipped with GoPros, so there’s no need for us to try this unbelievable stunt ourselves:

Watch the behind-the-scenes footage to see what went into the incredible aerial choreography and what it must have been like to be one of the film makers or photographers involved:

“We will be mosquitoes flying with an eagle.”
