When taking photos at night it is important to make sure your exposure is correctly set and your camera is stable (preferably with a tripod). The most difficult part of night photography I had was properly framing a shot. Because of the lack of light and that I couldn’t really see what was in the viewfinder (for very dark shoots) there was a lot of guesswork.

  1. I have done night street photography before so this advice looks very helpful. I mostly do wedding photography and my go-to apertures are 2.0-5.6. And here I would even start from the aperture I don’t normally ever use :). Maybe I should go out and challenge myself a little.

    I have trouble shooting even average images at night, when I do it has the grain effect. I will keep at it until I get better results.
