Manipulating Photos in Photoshop CS6

A new version of Photoshop means new tricks and tools we can use to edit our photographs. Unfortunately, that also means more information we have to learn about the already complicated software. In the following video, Andy Graber, an instructor from the renowned Parsons School of Design, shares with us some of the basics that can have photographers of any skill level manipulating their photos like a pro. The video is about two hours long and during that span, viewers learn the essentials via an easy to follow workflow. Graber starts the seminar with things most Photoshop users will already have a pretty solid grasp on, such as the brush tools. However, once past the introductory primer, his teachings begin to become more detailed. Viewers can expect to learn how to utilize the content aware features, the smart object features, and the benefits of working with multiple layers—all things that are useful when you are trying to, say, remove or replace an object from a photograph.
