Forced Perspective Photography Projects

As the rise in popularity of forced perspective photography continues to grow, we’re seeing more and more creative examples of the art form. Pause for a moment and see if you can figure out how this photo was captured without Photoshop (the answer is below):

Not only are the forced perspective photographs we see in the end outstanding examples, but the timelapse video of how they were created are great, too. Go behind the scenes:

Putting all that tape down is a very time consuming practice, especially when it’s so important that not a single piece is out of line. In “Cipher” the partners used some creative shooting and editing to make the tape fly as the scientist plucks it out of mid-air. Take a look:

Documenting the process of creating such an intricate forced perspective image really helps you appreciate how involved the process can be. As any photographer who has done such a shoot can tell you, it’s not easy.

    Very clever. Very time consuming. One has to wonder why they bother to do it at all ? Maybe I am missing something here but it all seems pretty pointless. Art ? Cartier Bresson, eat your heart out. Ansell Adams, you missed this.
