Colorful Timelapse Photography of the Northern Lights Seen in Alaska

Alexis Coram’s first timelapse film captures the Northern Lights she saw on her trip to Alaska in February 2014. She described them as a representation of the light within her soul, which she captured using her Nikon D800 and Nikon D610 with a Nikon 14-18mm lens and a Sigma 15mm fisheye lens:

While Coram’s camera captured the entire experience, she spent her time dog sledding, relaxing by the fire in her cabin, and relaxing in the snow enjoying spectacle.

“There are some things in this world that everyone deserves to experience with their own eyes. I headed to Alaska in February with the hope of catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights with mine. That glimpse turned into an extravaganza…a party in the sky, and I was an onlooker, a face in the crowd…awestruck, mesmerized, feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.”
