Interesting Photo of the Day: Ice Bubbles in the Canadian Rockies

The lakes found in the Canadian Rockies are among the world’s most beautiful. With snow-covered mountain backdrops, emerald water from mountain runoff and freezing cold temperatures, these lakes turn into majestic landscapes frozen in time. Landscape photographer Artur Stanisz captured the amazing beauty of Abraham Lake with a thunderous crack running through the ice bubbles as the sun warmed the sky overhead:

While camping at Abraham Lake, Stanisz came across this scene at sunrise and couldn’t resist shooting it. He used a Nikon D800, a 14mm lens, and a focus blending technique to really bring out the ice bubbles and breathtaking background.
