Imaging Resource wrote a review of the Canon EOS 5D and said: "The EOS 5D's images show really excellent definition in the fine details. Some edge enhancement is visible along sharp, strongly contrasting images, but it's relatively innocuous, is largely invisible and doesn't seem to lead to loss of significant detail. (Edge enhancement creates the illusion of sharpness by enhancing colors and tones right at the edge of a rapid transition in color or tone.)"
