Top Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 Camera Reviews
Trusted Reviews wrote a review of the
Sony Cybershot T10
and said: "Image quality is a bit of a mixed bag. As already
mentioned, you’ll be noise free up to 200 ISO and the Super
Steady Shot functionality should mean that you won’t have to
dial things up much higher than that too often. The macro
setting can also produce impressive results for a camera this
compact. However, I did notice that the colours sometimes took
on a garish look, no matter what colour setting I employed.
Also, the flash had a habit of washing out detail on some shots,
while being perfectly balanced on others."
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 News Release Summary:
SAN DIEGO, Aug. 1, 2006 — Sony is launching a new color strategy
with the introduction of its seven-megapixel Cyber-shot® DSC-T10
digital still camera. Premiering this summer in pink, white,
black and silver, the new model upholds the standard for slim
and stylish design.
“The number of digital still cameras per household is steadily
increasing, up to three or four, which suggests that people are
buying cameras to fulfill different needs,” said Phil Lubell,
director of marketing for digital still cameras and photo
printers at Sony Electronics. “Our new model is so stylish that
it can be viewed as a fashion accessory.”
Not Just Another Pretty Face
The new T-series camera features double anti-blur protection to
deliver great pictures, even in unfavorable lighting conditions,
such as low-lit nightclubs or restaurants. It incorporates Super
Steady Shot® optical image stabilization to reduce the chances
of taking a blurry picture because of shaky hands. The camera
automatically calculates the compensation needed to provide a
clear, crisp image.
The model’s high light sensitivity, up to ISO 1000, minimizes
blurriness when you need to shoot at faster shutter speeds
because of low-light conditions or fast-moving subjects. By
selecting the high sensitivity mode, you can shoot in available
light for more natural exposure or in settings where flash is
not permitted, such as museums. The new camera does not scrimp
on performance. It features a 3x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar®
optical zoom lens, a large, 2.5-inch Clear Photo Plus LCD screen
for higher resolution and optimal viewing at any angle, and a
dynamic slide show feature with four selectable modes.
Powered by Sony’s Real Imaging Processor® circuit, the DSC-T10
model features a quick start-up, fast shot-to-shot times and
long battery life -- up to 250 shots per charge using
rechargeable NiMH batteries. This camera is equipped with 56MB
of internal memory so you can start shooting straight out of the
box. Its capacity can be expanded with an optional Memory Stick
Duo™ media card or Memory Stick PRO Duo™ card, now available in
capacities up to four gigabytes.

Low-light Movie Shooting; Slideshow with Music
Berlin, 2nd August 2006 - Building on the success of the
acclaimed Cyber-shot T9, the new Sony Cyber-shot T10 offers a
step up to even higher picture quality and greater sensitivity
in a slender credit card-sized package. It’s also an exciting
evolution in looks. The slim-line stainless steel body extends
the camera’s appeal to fashion-aware female and male users. The
Cyber-shot T10 features a 7.2 effective Megapixel Super HAD CCD
plus a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical Zoom lens. Double
anti-blur technology combines Super SteadyShot with extremely
high sensitivity to make blurred images a thing of the past. The
large, bright high resolution 2.5 inch Clear Photo LCD Plus
screen is perfect for sharing images using the built-in
Slideshow with Music function. A high-sensitivity movie mode
delivers better results when shooting in low light conditions.
Packaged in a stainless steel body less than 21mm* thick and
weighing only 140g**, the Cyber-shot T10 makes it easier than
ever to shoot and share great-looking images.
Double ‘Anti-Blur’ - Super SteadyShot and High Sensitivity
TechnologyCamera shake is one of the biggest causes of spoiled
pictures. Thanks to double ‘anti-blur’ technology – the
combination of Super SteadyShot and High Sensitivity – the
Cyber-shot T10 reduces the risk of camera shake when shooting
handheld without flash in low light conditions. Super SteadyShot
uses a gyro-based optical image stabiliser that adjusts the lens
element position to combat camera shake when shooting handheld
or at low shutter speeds. This feature can also be used in
combination with slow shutter or small apertures for more
creative shots – even in Movie mode. The second anti-blur
technology employed in the Cyber-shot T10 is the camera’s
extremely High Sensitivity capability. This allows the capture
of fast moving objects without blur – a feature not possible
with image stabiliser technology alone. The Cyber-shot T10 uses
Clear RAW NR processing that boosts signal to noise performance
while increasing sensitivity up to ISO1000.
Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lensThe full
capabilities of the camera’s 1/2.5” 7.2 effective Megapixel
Super HAD CCD sensor are realised by the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar
3x Optical Zoom lens. A folded path system keeps lens and prism
within the camera body, maintaining its sleek profile. Optical
zoom is complemented by a 6x Precision Digital Zoom, and a 14x
VGA Smart Zoom. Selectable at the single touch of a button,
Magnifying Glass mode allows shooting at distances as close as
1cm.
230k pixel 2.5-inch screen with Clear Photo LCD Plus
technologyResolution, brightness and accurate colour
reproduction of the large 2.5-inch (230k pixel) hybrid LCD
screen is enhanced by Clear Photo LCD Plus technology. The
screen also incorporates a smooth anti-reflection layer for
better image quality than conventional textured layers.
Reflections are also suppressed more effectively to increase
contrast, especially outside in bright sunlight. One-touch
adjustment allows rapid control of screen brightness.
High sensitivity movie shootingThe DSC-T10 is the first Sony
T-series camera to feature a special low-light movie shooting
mode. Gain and shutter speed are adjusted in low light
conditions to achieve a shooting sensitivity of approx. 10 lux
(=approx. 1.3 EV) for bright, clear movies. Optical zoom is also
available in movie mode.
Slideshow with musicThe Cyber-shot T10 adds to the enjoyment of
your shots with a built-in Slideshow with Music function.
Pictures can be replayed in a choice of slide show styles,
accompanied by a choice of four pre-set background music
melodies. Users can also add their background music from CD or
MP3 using the supplied Picture Package Music Transfer software.
Style meets convenienceThe beautifully-designed Cyber-shot T10
has been designed to make capturing great-looking shots a more
stress-free, spontaneous experience – for experienced
photographers and beginners alike. Menu navigation is easier
than ever before, thanks to a pop-up display that offers
on-screen explanation of function icons like flash, macro, and
self timer settings. The camera’s Real Imaging Processor ensures
a quick response time, and the supplied InfoLITHIUM battery
offers up to 250*** still shots from a single charge, ensuring
that you never have to miss the action.
Nine pre-set Scene Selection modes – including
Twilight, Snow, Fireworks and Beach – adjust all camera settings
for perfect results under a wide range of shooting conditions.
For even wider creative options, five new colour modes deliver
optimum results with any scene. Standard mode reproduces
natural, lifelike images. “Vivid” mode enhances colours such as
deeper sky blue or brilliant red flowers etc, while “Natural”
mode reproduces subtle colour images. Sepia and Monochrome modes
are also available. The camera’s generous 56MB internal memory
is complemented by storage using optional Memory Stick Duo or
Memory Stick PRO Duo media. The Cyber-shot T10 also supports
PictBridge, the standard for printing directly to compatible
PictBridge photo printers, such as the Sony DPP-FP55.
