DP Review wrote a review of the
Samsung NV10
and said: "Image quality (contrast and saturation issues aside)
is pretty much on a par with most 7-10MP competitors (there's
little if any advantage to be gained from the extra pixels) -
and at ISO 100 the soft touch approach to noise reduction
actually produces better than average low contrast detail. At
ISO 400 and over noise is a real problem, but for small prints
high ISO results are just about usable if the light is so low
you've got no other choice. It's not the best quality in the
world, but it's by no means the worst and for the price it's
surprisingly good."
Photography Blog wrote a review of the
Samsung NV10
and said: "The Samsung NV10 really does look and feel different
to most other cameras out there. Sadly, although the NV10 offers
a truly unique user experience, the images that it produces do
not match the high quality of the rest of the camera. High
levels of noise at ISO 200 and faster is the main problem, but
the NV10 also suffers from obvious purple fringing and a very
limited anti-shake mode. It's a real shame, as the NV10 is
otherwise a joy to use. Ultimately the Samsung NV10 is an
innovative product that forgets about one of the key
fundamentals of a good camera, making it an unfortunate example
of style over substance."

The NV10 comes in an 18.5mm thin black aluminum body with
Samsung's unique blue ring on its extendable lens barrel, and a
pop-up flash. A 10.1 mega pixels, 1/1.8" CCD, not normally used
in slim cameras, is used to give better detail - and the 230K,
2.5" wide-view LCD allows you to view brighter, clearer images.
The NV10 has the new Smart Touch user interface, making it
possible to quickly navigate and set menu items or view
pictures. The unique makeup of the Smart Touch UI on the back of
the camera is expected to be great fun for users, giving them an
experience unlike anything they have tried before.
Samsung's unique ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) system enables
you to take better, clearer pictures indoors or in lower light
conditions. With this and a great looking design NV10 is the
perfect companion to take anywhere.
The NV10 also supports TV quality MPEG-4 VGA (640x480) 30fps
video, and a Photo Gallery function for a better picture viewing
experience; it can be recharged while connected to USB, or by
using the high capacity SBP-4442 battery recharge kit. A Dial
mode is also offered for added convenience in controlling the
camera.
Accessories have also been upgraded for this premium range of
cameras.
