one area where the L700 is rather below average. I took it out
for a test shoot on a bright sunny spring day, exactly the sort
of conditions under which a camera like this would be used for
holiday snaps, and the results were disappointing. Almost every
shot was over-exposed, colours were under-saturated and
highlights blown out."

Samsung Techwin, the camera manufacturer which commanded
favourable market responses with the NV series launched during
the latter half of 2006, will launch new camera models in i, S
and L series during the first half of 2007.
The Samsung L700 is a 7.2 megapixel camera with a 3x optical
zoom. It also has a large 2.5” TFT color LCD. It can have a
sensitivity of up to ISO 1600, it is protected by a light weight
aluminum body, it has an advanced movie function, and it has a
very fast shooting and display time.
The L700 has a very easy menu to navigate and very simple
functions. There are 11 scene modes for night, portraits,
children, landscapes, close-ups, sunsets, dawn, backlight,
fireworks, beach, snow, and text. There are also many effects to
choose from. The L700 can do shutter speeds as fast as 1/2000 of
a sec. and can have an ISO sensitivity up to 1600.
The Samsung L700 can record MPEG-4 videos as VGA (640x480) at
30fps. There is also a movie stabilizer that can eliminate some
of that annoying handshake common in home videos. Users can also
zoom in with the 3x optical zoom while recording video clips.
The L700 can also record videos with sound or without sound.
With the L700 users can also do a surprising amount of content
editing using the camera itself. When necessary you can trim,
rotate, or crop and resave the new image.
The camera has an internal memory capacity of 20 MB which makes
sure that you will not miss an opportunity for a photo even when
the memory card is full. Then when necessary, users can use the
Copy to Card function which copies photos off of the internal
memory onto external memory.
