Top Fujifilm FinePix Z1 Camera Reviews

Design Technica reviews the Fujifilm FinePix Z1 and said: "Like everything in this world, it's far from perfect. Sony T series cameras, such as the newer DSC-T7, have much better screens, and although camera start-up is quick, it doesn't save 5MP Fine images with the flash as quickly as Sony. Granted, it's not like waiting to go through security at the airport, but still. In fact, the camera does not have a Burst or Rapid-Fire mode. And it uses more expensive xD Picture cards for storage, a limited format that costs $70 for a 512MB card (compared to $60 for a similarly sized SD card). However, my biggest problems are the weak LCD screen, some focusing issues and the fact that it doesn't have an AF Assist lamp for more accurate flash shots in dark situations."

Digital Camera Info wrote a review on the Fujifilm FinePix Z1 and said: "Performance-wise, the FinePix Z1 is impressive for this type of camera in terms of noise suppression and image definition. The sliding lens cover breeds quicker start-up speeds in addition to increased durability. For a sleek, aesthetically-driven camera, the Z1 is yards beyond many of its competitors; however, that’s unfortunately not saying much. Many of these models are essentially glamorized camera phones – providing far more in the way of portability and style than image quality."

DC Resource reviewed the FujiFilm FinePix Z1 and said:  "The FinePix Z1 is a good performer, with near-instant startup, good focusing times (with high speed shooting turned on), no shutter lag, and good shot-to-shot speeds. Photo quality is good, though images have a fuzzy/grainy look to them which seems to be the norm for cameras with this lens design. The Z1 can perform better than the competition at high ISO settings, though you'll probably want to use those photos for smaller-sized prints only. The natural light mode is especially handy for those low light shots that always turn out blurry. In terms of features the Z1 is fairly stripped -- there are no manual controls of any kind and there's not even a continuous shooting mode. In other words, it's 100% point-and-shoot. One really nice feature on the Z1 is its VGA movie mode."
