Top Fujifilm FinePix E900 Camera Reviews
Steve's Digicams
reviews the
Fujifilm FinePix E900
and said: "The Fuji FinePix E900 has features that will please
photographers of every experience level, but it greatest appeal will be found
among advanced users. Its outdoor results are pleasing, and its shooting
performance is impressive. Its 9-megapixel images are capable of producing
high-quality 11x14-inch and greater prints and, because of its great resolution,
even aggressive cropping can produce high-quality 8x10's."
Photoxels wrote a review on the
Fujifilm FinePix E900 and said: "The Fujifilm FinePix
E900 is targeted to serious amateur photographers, providing
full exposure flexibility and the availability of optional
accessories. It is a major improvement over the E550. Though it
keeps the basic body shape and fast operations of the E550, the
use of Real Photo Technology and the 5th Generation SuperCCD HR
image sensor means that its image quality is now excellent and
it can compete with the best of the lot."
DC Resource reviewed the
Fujifilm FinePix E900 and said: "Photo quality was very good
for the most part. The E900 takes well-exposed, colorful images
with good sharpness and reasonable purple fringing levels. My
main complaint is regarding the watercolor-like look to fine
details in photos, like grass, shrubs, and trees. The E900 does
offer better-than-average high ISO performance. Though it's not
up to D-SLR standards, it is noticeably better than what most
compact cameras offer."
Imaging Resource wrote a review of the
Fujifilm FinePix E900 and said: "Its color is very good
(if somewhat subdued), resolution excellent, and noise levels at
even high ISOs are tamed very well. The FinePix E900 isn't the
fastest in terms of AF speed, but it's right there in the
respectable department. If you prefocus, it's a great family camera,
with its f/2.8 lens handling wide angle indoor scenes very well. Its
lens comes out quickly, AF points are picked quickly, and it
switches between modes and menus with snap. The Fujifilm FinePix
E900 is pretty good with battery power, with a worst-case run time
of just over two hours with the provided rechargeable NiMH
batteries."
Fujifilm FinePix E900 News Release Summary:
Valhalla, NY, July 28, 2005 - Advances in digital photography
have impacted every level of user, from first time digital
owners, to families with multiple photographers, to consumers
who are simply interested in expanding their photography skills.
Answering the growing needs of every level of user, Fujifilm
today introduced the new FinePix E900 digital camera. Packing a
powerful nine MegaPixel 5th Generation Super CCD HR sensor - the
highest resolution available in a consumer digital camera -- the
FinePix E900 joins Fujifilm's already popular E-series line of
cameras and continues the tradition of point-and-shoot ease and
photographic essentials such as image quality, form factor and
powerful feature sets including manual controls, found in all
E-series models.
"The FinePix E900 caters to a new breed of digital camera users
who seek a product that adapts to their individual interests and
grows with them as their skill level increases," commented David
Troy, Senior Product Manager, Consumer Products, Electronic
Imaging Products Division, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. "As with all
of our products, Fujifilm is in tune with consumers' needs with
the new FinePix E900 to offer a camera that, with nine
MegaPixels, has a powerhouse photographic engine in an ergonomic
point and shoot design allowing users to take better pictures
than ever before."
The E900 offers Fujifilm's innovative Real Photo Technology,
which provides many benefits for the user, including faster
operation, low noise processing, better low light shooting, and
higher shutter speeds that minimize blurriness in photos at even
the highest ISO setting of 800 with full resolution. In
addition, fully automatic features on the E900 provide
point-and-shoot simplicity, while manual and customizable
feature settings provide additional control, particularly when
combined with the power of optional lenses.
In addition to a convenient, ergonomic travel-friendly design,
the FinePix E900 offers a large 2-inch LCD screen, which makes
it easy to take and share pictures. A mode dial provides easy
access to advanced shooting modes and a 4x optical zoom, which
can be enhanced with optional lens adapters, allows user to
tailor each shot to their needs. Other versatile shooting
functions include a live histogram display for exposure settings
and a highlight warning function.
The FinePix E900 will be available in October at a price of
$499.95.
