The Leica C-Lux 2 is 7.2 megapixel digital camera with a 1/2.5”
CCD image sensor. It is build for style and low weight. It is
ultra compact and comes in classic black or silver metal bodies.
It will fit in even the smallest pocket measuring just 3 1/2 x 2
in. It’s appearance is cannot be mistaken as anything other than
from the Leica company, and it is built with cutting edge
standard of optics and digital technology.
It has a high-speed wide-angle 28 mm zoom lens that can take
excellent “space-grabbing” shots. The VARIO-ELMARIT zoom lens
retracts entirely into the camera body at the flick of the ‘off’
switch. The 28-mm starting focal length offers dynamic
wide-angle photography.
It has an optical image stabilizer to take out the the faults of
camera shake and shaky hands. It also has intelligent exposure
control to ensure optimum definition. And with 7.2 megapixels,
it can print any photo up to poster size. With all these
features, the C-Lux 2 encourages care-free photography with
high-quality results.
It has an extra large 2.5” LCD display so you can accurately see
how captured photos look. The Leica C-Lux 2 is built with a very
short shutter delay so you do not have to wait when trying to
capture a photo quickly. And with the image stabilization you
can take photos all the way through dusk almost to sundown. The
Leica C-Lux 2 also features an integrated flash light up dark
situations.
The C-Lux 2 is designed for automatic photography and includes
19 shooting modes. The shutter speed ranges from 60 seconds to
1/2000 of a second. One of the shooting modes is built for
motion where it senses motion and boosts ISO speed so the moving
object can be captured effectively.
For point-and-shoot photographers who desire to capture videos,
the Leica C-Lux 2 can record smooth JPEG video with sound in
standard VGA resolution or in widescreen resolution at 848 x
480.
The Leica C-Lux 2 should be available in May at a price
somewhere around $500.
