The Fujifilm Finepix S5800 is an 8-megapixel digital with 10x
optical zoom. It is designed to be a perfect entry-level bridge
camera, with enough control for the enthusiast, but also simple
to use for the novice. The S5800 features Real Photo Technology,
Picture Stabilization, Super Macro mode, and movie functions. It
is scheduled to be available from October 2007.

Fujifilm announces the introduction of the FinePix S5800, an
8.0-Megapixel version of FinePix S5700. The new model is also
fitted with an impressive 10x long-zoom FUJINON lens and in
addition, FinePix S5800 is equipped with variety of shooting
functions such as ISO 1600 sensitivity, Picture Stabilization
(Anti-blur), “Intelligent-Flash”, powerful movie functions, and
Super Macro mode.

S5800 offers a bright, 2.5 Inch, 230,000 LCD, with a
refresh rate of 60 frames per second. Furthermore, the camera is
fitted with a Wide View filter, enabling consumers to view the
LCD at oblique angles, which is great for awkward shots or group
playback.
Despite the long zoom, the S5800 is remarkably compact. It’s
designed to be a perfect entry-level bridge camera, with enough
control for the enthusiast, but also simple to use for the
novice.

The S5800 offers sensitivity ranges from ISO64 to ISO 1600.
Borrowing from the success of earlier cameras, the S5800 is
fitted with all the recent innovations, and offers excellent
image quality with minimal noise at low light levels.
10x optical zoom: 38mm to 380mm (35mm equivalent)
The flash pops up automatically in low light: The S5800
features Fujifilm’s Intelligent Flash system, which controls
power output to achieve natural foreground illumination with
balanced background exposure.
The
S5800 features various selective scene positions,
with pre-set shutter speed, aperture and white balance settings
- for those who prefer to leave the camera to do the hard work.
More advanced photographers can use the Manual setting for
advanced creativity.
The new 2.5 inch LCD is coated with Wide View film, which
expands the screen viewing angle. This aids composition while
shooting, and enables friends to gather around to share the fun
of playback.
The S5800 features an xD/SD compatible slot for both xD-picture
card, Secure Digital (SD) card, and SDHC (High Capacity) card.
FinePix S5800 is scheduled to be available from October 2007.
