RCA EZ105 Small Wonder News Release Summary:
Affordable RCA Digital Camcorder Now Records 60 Minutes of Video,
Perfect for Spontaneous Holiday Moments

NEW YORK, November 30, 2006 – With no bulky tapes, discs, or special batteries to buy, capturing all your favorite holiday memories is easier than ever with the new RCA EZ105 Small Wonder digital camcorder, available now. Building on the initial success of the RCA Small Wonder introduction, the new EZ105 adds more built-in memory and makes it easy to shoot video, share video with friends, and save video to your PC or to a DVD. Whether spontaneously recording everyday experiences or shooting your own video for uploading to a favorite website, the EZ105 is compact enough to fit in a pocket or small purse and allows anyone to easily capture video.
Survey Says: Small is Better

A recent survey of more than 100 Small Wonder owners, conducted by Thomson, found that while nearly two-thirds of RCA Small Wonder owners also own a conventional camcorder, the Small Wonder is used most frequently by most of them. This same survey also indicated that Small Wonder owners use the camcorder for a wide range of activities including picnics, parties, sporting events, work related events, children's events, and other everyday moments – affirming the versatility and flexibility of this device. In addition, owners of the camcorder also expressed high satisfaction with ease of use, portability, design, and durability. Survey respondents asked for more recording time than the 30 minutes built-in to the first Small Wonder model, and the EZ105 delivers with up to one hour of recording time.

"The EZ105 is a great product for a myriad of users, from real estate agents, vacationers, insurance adjusters, overseas adoption agencies, and video bloggers to busy parents and even those who are simply put off by the complexities of traditional camcorders," said Dan Collishaw, Chief Operating Officer of Thomson's Audio/Video and Accessories business. "With the growing popularity of online video sharing, the RCA Small Wonder is the perfect companion for on-the-go videography. It's so easy to shoot your video, copy it to a PC, and then email or upload it to a website. The EZ105 is the perfect solution."

Easy to carry along anywhere, the EZ105 eliminates many of the complaints consumers have about typical camcorders. With this "point-and-shoot" MPEG-4 digital camcorder there are no tapes or disc to buy, and the device runs on standard AA batteries, meaning there are no batteries to charge or cumbersome equipment to lug around.

Capable of recording 60 minutes of standard-quality video or 30 minutes of high-quality video, the EZ105 is always ready to capture any spontaneous moment – it's as easy as turning on the power button and pressing the red "record" button. Consumers can playback clips on the camcorder's 1.5-inch LCD screen, and unwanted clips can be deleted with the touch of the "delete" button.

Sharing video clips is easy, too. The EZ105 connects directly to a TV set for immediate viewing, or individual clips can be transferred to a computer via the built-in USB arm. According to the Small Wonder owner survey, 79 percent of Small Wonder owners effortlessly download their clips to a computer in this manner. Since there's no software to install (software is built into the camera itself), the RCA Small Wonder makes it simple and speedy to archive, compress, and e-mail favorite clips to friends and family. Showcasing the clips on popular video sharing websites is a cinch as well. Just use the built-in USB arm to transfer and save the clips to your desktop, and merely upload to your favorite website. There are no confusing software conversion programs or removable discs to worry about.

The RCA Small Wonder EZ105 ships with a full accessory kit including a wrist strap, two AA batteries, and a TV/AV output cable to allow easy connection to a television. For added convenience, the unit also comes with a built in tripod mount that allows everyone to be part of the movie.

Consumers can learn more about the RCA EZ105, which will replace the 30-minute EZ101 model, at www.mysmallwonder.com. Now available nationally at all Kmart Stores, other retailers, and on www.mysmallwonder.com, the suggested retail price is $129.
