JVC GR-D770 News Release Summary:
New Models Feature 34x Optical Zoom, 2.7-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor, and Dual Recording Functionality

LAS VEGAS, January 7, 2007 – JVC continues to enhance the video capturing experience with today’s introduction of its newest Mini DV camcorder line. The three-model line offers robust recording features, new easy-to-use controls and 35 percent longer recording time.

With their compact design and new 2.7-inch widescreen LCD monitor, the streamlined models provide easy portability. A 34x optical zoom lens on all models provides unprecedented shooting flexibility. For ease of use, a new stick controller mounted on the LCD monitor makes it easy to set menu and manual settings and control playback. Recording time is enhanced through the use of a new battery combined with new circuitry that consumes less power. All models also feature JVC’s Auto Illumi light for shooting in low light situations. Two of the three new models feature Dual Recording, allowing users to shoot digital still images while recording video.

Consumers can record over two hours of video before having to re-charge the battery thanks to a redesigned battery and lower power consumption. What hasn’t changed is JVC’s popular data battery feature that at the push of a button displays battery strength and remaining recording time – with and without using the LCD monitor.

For 2007, JVC offers three models with a 680K-pixel CCD: the GR-D750, GR-D770 and the GR-D796. All three offer JVC’s NightAlive for low-light shooting, 16:9 View Mode, Color Viewfinder and a Super High-Brand processor to assure high-resolution images and video stills.

Following is a summary of features in JVC’s 2007 line of Mini DV camcorders.
