Complete Lens Filters Guide by TJ Tierney
TJ
Tierney writes, "Filters for B/W photography: Just
because you use black and white film it doesn't mean that you
can't use filters - there are several filters for B/W
photography. The polarizing filter is one of the few filters
that work for B/W and colour photography. It will help to darken
shades of grey in your final print.
The red filter is one of the most popular. This filter
will darken the sky giving your image more impact. The most
common red filter is the number 25. Filters for B/W work by
transmitting light of its own colour, and holds back light of
the other colours."

Cyber-shot S600 Review at Cnet
Cnet

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S600

good to mediocre. The DSC-S600 woke up, ready to shoot, in just 1.8
seconds and snapped off pictures every 1.3 seconds thereafter. The
flash performed decently, requiring 1.8 seconds between shots. The
burst mode captured 7 full-resolution frames at 1.5fps and could
shoot 100 VGA pictures at about the same speed."

Panasonic Lumix TZ1 Initial Review at Digital Camera Info
Digital
Camera Info wrote a review of the
Panasonic Lumix TZ1 and said: "The Panasonic Lumix TZ1 is priced
fairly at $349. When considering manual control and image
flexibility, it isn’t a steal, but for an optically stabilized Leica-approved
10x zoom lens in a pocketable frame, it is extremely affordable. The
TZ1 is positioned in its own little niche of the digital camera
market; there are no other point-and-shoot-styled cameras that offer
double-digit optical zoom with image stabilization. Because of this,
the Panasonic TZ1 is setting the standard with its price point."
