Fujifilm Releases the Finepix F30 Zoom
After
almost a decade of obsession with pixel counts, Fujifilm is
proud to announce the launch of the FinePix F30 Zoom, a camera
which confirms a new stage in the evolution of digital camera
technology. Breaking away from the tired and irrelevant practice
of pixel counting, the FinePix F30 Zoom is the world's first

New Photoshop Tutorial - Professional Accenting Technique
This
tutorial is to help you learn how professional photo editors
accent specific parts of a picture in order to lead their
viewers attention into certain places. With this technique you
can darken what is not important and brighten what is important
to your photo. This technique uses a 50% gray overlay layer. But
remember that this example is a somewhat extreme demonstration
of this method, it is more commonly used to create very subtle
accents.

Sandisk Releases an Extreme III 8 Gigabyte Compact Flash
Sandisk Press Release Excerpt:
“Many photographers are wary of using cards that are larger than
1GB because they don’t want to ‘put all their eggs in one
basket,’ so to speak,” said Jonathan Torgovnik, contract
photographer for Newsweek magazine. “While that’s a valid
concern, I shoot RAW so using large capacity cards is a must. It
also lets me concentrate on taking pictures rather than worrying
about a pocket full of lower capacity cards that can easily be
lost or misplaced.”

Olympus Stylus 710 Initial Impressions by Digital Camera Info
Digital
Camera Info reviewed the
Olympus Stylus 710 and said: "While not exactly a
misstep, the new Stylus 710 doesn’t seem much like a step
forward either. Some new technologies such as Bright Capture and
Digital Image Stabilization are potentially interesting
additions, but are obviously not suited to all shooting
situations. Is the Stylus 710 distinct enough to separate itself
from a very crowded field of digital point-and-shoots? While the
jury’s still officially out until actual testing on this model
can take place, the only thing it has going for it so far is its
light weight, and if this is all it offers, we suspect it could
get lost in the shuffle."

Fujifilm Finepix E900 Review at Imaging Resource
Imaging Resource wrote a review of the
Fujifilm FinePix E900 and said: "Its color is very good
(if somewhat subdued), resolution excellent, and noise levels at
even high ISOs are tamed very well. The FinePix E900 isn't the
fastest in terms of AF speed, but it's right there in the
respectable department. If you prefocus, it's a great family camera,
with its f/2.8 lens handling wide angle indoor scenes very well. Its
lens comes out quickly, AF points are picked quickly, and it
switches between modes and menus with snap. The Fujifilm FinePix
E900 is pretty good with battery power, with a worst-case run time
of just over two hours with the provided rechargeable NiMH
batteries."

Nikon Coolpix S5 and S6 First Impressions Review
Digital
Camera Info reviewed the
Nikon Coolpix S5 and S6 and said: "These
models are on the higher end, price-wise, for slim, stylish cameras
but come with some added features not available in competing brands.
For instance, the upgraded S6 model has WiFi, which is not available
in any competing cameras in the slim class. In addition to their
decent 6 MP sensors, both cameras have high-resolution, large LCDs,
excellent designs and high-end construction, the interesting new
Pictmotion slideshow feature and Nikon’s suite of exclusive features
such as Face Priority AF, D-Lighting, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, a
speedy new jog dial, a new One-Touch Portrait Mode, a new GUI and
Best Shot Selector."
