Sony Press Release
Excerpt:
‘Anti-Blur’ technology for sharper shots
Thanks to the Cyber-shot S600’s High Sensitivity ‘anti-blur’
technology you can shoot in difficult conditions, such as low
light, without the risk of hand shake blurring your pictures. It
also allows you to capture fast moving objects with no blur,
likewise you can be moving (such as in a car) shooting a
stationary object - an option that is not possible if you’re
just using image stabiliser technology. High Sensitivity even
allows you to shoot with out the flash, resulting in pictures
that are as sharp as when using a flash but far more naturally

Flash
Photography Tips and Techniques

Flash photography is the use of a camera flash bulb in a variety
of possible situations where there doesn’t seem to be enough
light. The most common use of flash photography is group
portraits at gatherings where there is not enough light to take
a satisfactory exposure.
But there are many other situations where the flash could be
used such as: fill-flash situations when the background is
brighter than the subject, using the flash to light up a room
and creating better coloring, or using the flash to freeze a
moving object in a dark situation.

Digital
Versus Film Benefits are Growing
Brandon Layne writes, "Consumers
have been pretty receptive to the lower priced
"point and shoot" models (some 5 million digital
cameras were sold in the U.S. during the Christmas
2005 holiday season), but there are still some
holdouts.
Great strides have been made in digital technology
over the past few years, but more sophisticated
digital cameras have only recently come down in
price enough to attract the "serious amateur"
market. In the past, the price of high-end digital
camera equipment was more suited to the professional
who could turn that investment into an income
source."
