Canon Announces the SD770 IS With Battery Conservation
The
Canon Powershot SD770 IS is a 10 megapixel digital camera with
3x optical zoom. It is designed to be a feature-packed
point-and-shoot digital camera with a long battery life due to
power-saving features. The SD770 IS features a 1/2.3” CCD,
optical image stabilization, anti-blur technology, face
detection, and in-camera image enhancement. The Powershot SD770
IS Digital ELPH camera will be available in mid-April for about
$299.

Pentax Announces the Optio V20 for Portraits
The
Pentax Optio V20 is an 8.0-megapixel digital camera with 5x
optical zoom. It is designed to be a point-and-shoot camera that
specialized in portrait photographs. The Optio V20 features face
recognition technology, smile capture technology, and blink
detection technology (which reports to the user whether any
subjects closed their eyes). It will be available in May for
about $279.

Announces the Portable R8

Ricoh R8 is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 7.1x optical
wide-angle zoom lens. It is the successor to the R7 and is
designed to be portable with easy operation and solid
construction. The R8 features a 2.7" LCD, the Smooth Imaging
Engine III image processing engine, vibration correction, and
face recognition. Available in silver, black and two tone, the
R8 is available for about £249,99.
