Fujifilm Announces the
Compact S1000fd
The
Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd is a 10 megapixel digital camera with
an impressive 12x optical zoom. It is designed to offer advanced
amateur photographers an affordable, step-up digital camera. The
S1000fd features face detection, panorama shooting, picture
stabilization, high speed shooting, movie recording, and 14
scene modes. It will debut in April for about $249.

Fujifilm Announces the
Affordable J50
The
Fujifilm Finepix J50 is an 8.2-megapixel digital camera with 5x
optical zoom. It is designed to be an affordable, easy to use
digital camera that still offers a competitive feature set. The
J50 features 15 scene modes, a 2.7" LCD, movie mode, and long
batter life. The FinePix J50 will debut in March 2008 for a
suggested retail price of $179.

The Fujifilm Finepix J10 is a lot like the J50 only it
has less optical zoom, a smaller ISO range, and a slightly
smaller LCD screen. The FinePix J10 will debut in March for
$149.

Sony Announces the Fast Cybershot DSC-H50
The
Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 is a 9.1 megapixel digital camera with
15x optical zoom. It is designed to combine high shutter speeds
with predictive continuous auto-focusing so you can quickly
focus and capture fast-moving subjects with minimal shutter lag.
The DSC-H50 features optical image stabilization, a 3" tilting
LCD, shutter speeds up to 1/4000 of a second, and face
detection. It will be available in May for about $400.

Sony Announces the DSC-W300 With 13.6 Megapixels
The
Sony Cybershot DSC-W300 is a 13.6-megapixel digital camera with
a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens. It is designed
for point-and-shoot photographers looking for lots of megapixels
and advanced features. The W300 features optical image
stabilization, a high speed burst mode, Sony's new smile shutter
technology, and 12 scene modes. It will be available in May for
about $350.

Samsung Announces the GX-20 With 14.6 Megapixels
The
Samsung GX-20 is a 14.6 megapixel digital camera with optical
image stabilization. It is designed to be the successor to the
GX-10 with more megapixels and upgraded functions. The GX-20
features a dust and waterproof design, a dual dust reduction
system, noise reduction, and a 2.7" LCD screen. This product
also provides professionals with an X sync for connection with
an external flash, a one-touch RAW & JPEG conversion and high
class RAW format conversion software.
