Sanyo Announces Portable 720p HD Camcorder
The
Sanyo Xacti HD700 is a 720p HD digital camcorder designed to be
highly portable for casual everyday-use. It is aimed at users of
social networking sites and others who enjoy using photos and
movies on their personal computers. The HD700 features
Web-MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format compatibility, 7.1-megapixel still
photos, and a face chaser function. It will be be available
starting October 19, 2007.

Canon Releases the Selphy ES2 Portable Printer
The
Canon Selphy ES2 is a compact photo printer designed to be
portable with creative options. The ES2 can print 4 x 6" and 5 x
7" photos in approximately 69 seconds and 52 seconds,
respectively. It features a 3" LCD monitor, advanced functions
to correct photos, an integrated ink and paper cartridge, 16
different templates to frame postcard-sized photos, new clip art
options, image effects, and an easy-scroll wheel. The Canon
Selphy ES2 will be available for about $199.

for protruding or distracting background items. Be ruthless with
this; clear the background of anything you suspect will look
cluttered or intrusive. It is small checks like this that will
improve the professionalism of your service. I have had to do
some emergency work to omit fire extinguishers and fire exit
signs from the background. You can often get round this by
strategically placing people."

The JPEG File Format and Why it is Used
Ziv Haparnas writes, "PEG stands for Joint Photographic
Experts Group. The original JPEG file format goal was to allow
for the compression and storage of high quality digital photos.
The JPEG file format was successful and was widely used. It
later became an official ISO standard. JPEG files are also known
as JPG file named after their common three letter file
extension. JPEG files are the de-facto standard for storing
digital photos and are used by virtually all digital cameras and
computer software."
