Capturing Speed in Wildlife Photography
Andy
Long writes, "As a leader of tours and workshops, one of the
biggest problems I have encountered with participants is their
taking too much time getting everything ready and missing THE
shot. This is fine when doing a scenic and the subject is going
nowhere, but when you're getting ready to photograph a pair of
bighorn sheep about to butt heads or an elk thrashing its
antlers on a tree or shrub, you need to be ready to push the
button at the opportune time."

Image Size Setting on Digital Cameras
Colin
Aiken writes, "Setting the size of an image is something
specific to digital cameras, it just didn't exist on film
cameras. One effect of changing the size of image your camera
captures is that it also affects the size of the digital image
file your camera stores on its memory card and therefore the
number of pictures you can store on any given size of card. This
is size in terms of computer memory or storage and is expressed
in kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes. Digital cameras produce
digital files that need a certain amount of space to store
them."

Portrait Photography while Traveling
Peter
Dodds writes, "Overall, there is a lot to consider. It is always
important to have your camera ready as the moment can pass very
quickly. If you aren't prepared you can miss a great shot.
Always be considerate of your surroundings and other people and
make sure taking a picture is appropriate. In some cultures they
believe taking someone's picture means you capture their sole as
well."

Digital Camera Accessories Guide
Suzanne VanDeGrift writes, "One must have accessory for
the digital camera is the memory card. This is a solid-state
electronic flash memory data storage device that offers high re-recordability
and power-free storage. The memory card is a critical accessory
in order to be able to store pictures in volume. A high speed,
high capacity card is needed to accommodate the higher megapixel
cameras. Without the benefit of the high speed memory card, you
will quickly run out of photo storage space and have to wait a
long time between each picture you take."

Creating Mood with Different Colors
Domen
Lombergar writes, "Just as music builds mood, colors can also
help create mood. A lot has been written on what each color
denotes, what emotions it evokes. Colors also have an impact on
one's health. Did you ever think that the colors in a photograph
can actually make someone look at it over and over again or
probably turn-off the viewer. In fact the colors in photographs
can set the pace and mood of your surroundings and impact you
deeply."
