Article on Digital Photography Lighting

Dale Basye writes, "For low-light conditions, the same rule applies as with indoor shooting: avoid flash and use a tripod to steady the camera to compensate for the longer exposure time. If your camera allows for ISO adjustment, set it low--in the 50-100 range--for finer details in low-light conditions. If you don't have a tripod, set your ISO higher to make your camera more sensitive to light, allowing for shorter shutter speeds. The trade-off is the risk of visual "noise" and grain to your photos, but at least you may get a shot you might have otherwise missed."        Full Article

Muna wa Wanjiru writes, "You'll know that if you change the aperture setting one stop ether way you'll get slightly different picture, and the same goes with the shutter speeds. But if you're new to photography or new to changing the settings then I have to be blunt and say that you won't have the faintest clue what affects you will wreak by changing these settings. And that's where the difficulty comes in. To fully understand and appreciate everything you're going to need to have experience on your side."      More

Digital Camera Cases and Backpacks

Muna wa Wanjiru writes, "You could of course go with your most basic camera cases, the small one that will only take your camera, spare batteries, and an extra lens. Or you could go even more basic and just get camera cases. Then again you always have the option of going for something a little more spacious and opting for a bag that will carry all of your essential items."          Full Article
